Introduction :

Bewafai is a 1985 Hindi film starring Rajesh Khanna and Rajinikanth. This was the first film starring these two actors. The film was directed by R. Thyagaarrajan. Dhandayuthapani produced only four films in Hindi with Bewafai being the most successful of them. Bewafai became a success and grossed Rs 11.95 crore at the box office in 1985.

Summary :

Bewafai was a romantic film revolving mostly around a woman named Asha (Tina Munim) who has been in love with a man named Ashok Nath (Rajesh Khanna) since her childhood. But somehow she was never able to convey her feelings for him throughout her childhood and college days. Now Ashok works as her dad's employee. She becomes very possessive about him to the point where she cannot stand the thought of another woman trying to woo him. The possessiveness becomes so strong that Asha beats up a woman named Vinny (Meenakshi Seshadri) over Ashok. She tries her best to ensure that she keeps herself aware of Ashok's whereabouts. Renu (Padmini Kolhapure) falls in love with Ashok and when this fact is known to Asha she becomes heartbroken. She comes to know that Ashok has been taking care of Renu for a long time. Asha decides to meet Renu to teach her a lesson but when she finds that Renu is a mental patient and Ashok has been nursing her, she changes her heart and begins to assist Ashok in doing service to the mentally imbalanced Renu. Their lives take an unexpected turn when an unknown person shoots Ashok and leaves him mortally wounded. The rest of the story is about whether Asha gets a chance to convey her feelings for Ashok, how Renu became a mental patient, the relation between Renu and Ashok, how Ashok solves the problem and how the mystery gets unfolded.

इस फिल्म का निर्देशन आर.त्यागराजन ने किया था और फिल्म के मुख्य कलाकार थे राजेश खन्ना, रजनीकांत, मीनाक्षी शेषाद्री, टीना मुनीम, प्राण, पद्‍मिनी कोल्हपुरी| फिल्म 1985 में रिलीस हुई थी| इस फिल्म का संगीत बप्पी लाहिरी ने दिया है|

आशा अशोक नाथ को अपने बचपन से ही बहुत चाहती है| लेकिन वह अपनी भावनाएं कभी अशोक को बता नहीं पायी| अशोक अपने पिताजी के साथ काम करता है| आशा का अशोक के लिए प्यार जूनून बनता जाता है| उसका जूनून इस कदर बढ़ता जाता है कि एक बार आशा ने विन्नी नाम की लड़की को भी पीट दिया था|

वह अशोक की हर खबर रखती थी| रेनू को अशोक से प्यार हो जाता है और जब आशा को पता चलता है तो उसका दिल टूट जाता है| वह रेनू से मिलने का फैसला करती है| जब वह रेनू से मिलती है और जानती है कि रेनू एक पागल लड़की है और अशोक उसका इलाज कर रहा है तो आशा भी अपना मन बदल लेती है और अशोक का इस काम में साथ देती है| इनकी ज़िन्दगी में मोड़ आता है जब एक अनजान आदमी अशोक को गोली मार देता है|

क्या आशा अपनी भावनाएं अशोक को बता पायेगी? रेनू कैसे पागल हुई और रेनू और अशोक के बीच क्या रिश्ता है? अशोक इस मुसीबत का सामना किस तरह करेगा ?
