Introduction :

Souten is a 1983 Hindi-language Indian feature film directed by Sawan Kumar Tak, starring Rajesh Khanna, Padmini Kolhapure, Tina Munim, Prem Chopra and Pran. The film is a family drama. It was written by Kamleshwar, with music by Usha Khanna. The song "Shayad Meri Shaadi" became especially memorable. The film was remade in Kannada as Krishna Nee Begane Baro.P.

Summary : 

Shyam is an ambitious man who meets Rukmini, the daughter of a millionaire, and falls in love with her. They get married despite strong opposition from Rukmani's family. Now Shyam wants to become a father, but Rukmani is not interested in becoming a mother; hence, the relationship between Shyam and Rukmini worsens. Shyam and Rukmini separate. Radha, daughter of Shyam's employee, brings a ray of hope into Shyam's life. What happens next forms the climax of the story.

इस फिल्म का निर्देशन सावन कुमार तक ने किया था और फिल्म के मुख्य कलाकार थे राजेश खन्ना, टीना मुनीम, पद्‍मिनी कोल्हपुरी | फिल्म 1983 में रिलीस हुई थी| इस फिल्म का संगीत उषा खन्ना ने दिया है|

श्याम एक महत्वकांक्षी इंसान है जिसकी मुलाकात करोडपति रुक्मिणी से होती है| दोनों एक दुसरे को चाहने लगते हैं| रुक्मिणी अपने परिवार के खिलाफ जाकर श्याम से शादी कर लेती है|

श्याम पिता बनना चाहता है लेकिन रुक्मिणी अभी माँ नहीं बनना चाहती| श्याम और रुक्मिणी के रिश्ते में दरार पड़ने लगती है| श्याम रुक्मिणी को छोड़ देता है और अकेला हो जाता है| श्याम के मुलाजिम की बेटी राधा श्याम की ज़िन्दगी में रौशनी की किरन लाती है| रुक्मिणी को पता चलता है कि श्याम और राधा के बीच कुछ चल रहा है और वह श्याम से इस बेइज़्ज़त्ति का बदला लेने का फैसला करती है|
